The Department of Religious Studies and Classics is excited to offer tuition scholarships to University of Arizona students who would like to begin their study of Ancient (Classical) Greek this summer!
Greek 112 - Intensive Beginning Classical Greek will be available fully online (asynchronously) during a 10-week summer session (06/08/2026 - 08/12/2026). GRK 112 is the equivalent of GRK 101 and GRK 102, and prepares students for GRK 201. Funding to support summer tuition for GRK 112 is available to students enrolling in GRK 201 in the Fall 2026 semester. TO APPLY FOR THIS FUNDING, PLEASE SUBMIT THE FOLLOWING TO HECTOR SILVA AT hctrslv25@arizona.edu BY MAY 11, 2026:
- Your University of Arizona transcript. It is fine to send an unofficial transcript.
- A brief letter of application (up to 1 page) requesting tuition funding for summer GRK 112. Please include the following on your letter of application:
- Your name and university email address.
- A statement confirming that you have enrolled in GRK 201 for Fall 2026 (this is a requirement for scholarship funding for GRK 112).
- A statement confirming that you are able to devote significant time this summer to the intensive language study required to complete GRK 112.
- Please also feel free to include any other information, including details about your interest in ancient Greek.
