The Cynthia White Travel and Study in Italy Award will be given in 2020 to students enrolled in a UA Classics course while participating in academic travel in Italy and/or study abroad programs in Italy. For more information, contact Professor White at ckwhite@email.arizona.edu.
In 2020, up to three Travel Awards of $500 will be available for each of the following programs:
- Explore Italy, offered during the 2020 summer pre-session. Explore Italy offers the pre-session course CLASSICS 310 - Rome in Film. Class meetings will be held on the University of Arizona's Tucson campus from May 18-28, and the course will conclude with travel to Italy from May 29-June 7, 2020.
- Honors First-Year Trip C, offered July 6-August 6, 2020 in Rome and Paris.
Interested students should apply at the Scholarship Universe link below. The application requires 1) a 500-word statement regarding what you hope to gain from the course and trip, and 2) an unofficial UA transcript. The application deadline is February 15, 2020.
