June 2012 saw a dozen UA students participate in the inaugural year of Arizona in the Aegean. The four-week program introduces students to the culturally rich Greek islands of Paros, Naxos, Santorini, and Delos, where they learn about ancient and modern craft technologies. Associate Professor of Anthropology and Classics Eleni Hasaki founded Arizona in the Aegean to provide an open-air lab for students to learn about ancient and modern craft technologies in the Mediterranean.
