My experience as a student of Classical Civilization in the College of Humanities was wonderfully rich, personally rewarding, and has served as a great foundation for my life since college. The interdisciplinary approach to learning and the wealth of perspectives offered in my course of study prepared me to think critically and engage easily with a broad spectrum of thought. It also allowed me to explore the roots of Western civilization and identify the ways in which current events participate in the larger drama of our cultural history. These skills have been invaluable as I have had to navigate the complexities of today’s society and the current job market. I am very grateful for my UA experience and the many ways that it prepared me for my life today.
