The ability to break down languages and analyze their grammar has helped me immensely in teaching English and Latin. It helps me to teach more thoroughly and approach English education from a different angle. Latin and Greek have also made the transition to ecology an easy step, since most of the jargon in the field is based in these languages. It helps to understand scientific names of species and processes.

I am currently working on a Master's degree in Ornithology. I am trying to spread an interest in Latin in the Far East by teaching the language itself and teaching about its profound influence on the English language as well.
