Funding for Classics Study Abroad in 2019

In summer 2019, Classics faculty will be offering study abroad opportunities through Arizona in Orvieto (Italy).                                                                                  

Generous Funding Available

Students are welcome to apply for any and all of the awards listed below for which they are eligible.


 

SILLC Global Award

Application Deadline: January 22, 2019

Funding Amounts: Ranges from $1,500 - $2,000

Eligibility: Must be a declared major in Classics, Religious Studies or other SILLC discipline, and attending a UA-approved study abroad program such as Arizona in Orvieto (Italy).

Classics Travel Grant I (need based)

Deadline Extended to March 13, 2019

Awards typically range from $500 - $1,000, depending on the availability of funds. 

Eligibility: Open to all students enrolled in at least one Classics course offered through Arizona in Orvieto in Summer 2019, and who meet the minimum eligibility requirements for need-based UA Study Abroad Travel Grants.

Students with the following qualifications will be given priority: Classics and/or Religious Studies majors or minors, and/or students enrolled in Greek or Latin language courses.

Classics Travel Grant II (Merit Based)

Deadline Extended to March 13, 2019

Awards typically range from $500 - $1,000, depending on the availability of funds. 

Eligibility: Open to all students with a minimum GPA of 3.5 and enrolled in at least one Classics course offered through Arizona in Orvieto in Summer 2019.

Students with the following qualifications will be given priority: Classics and/or Religious Studies majors or minors, and/or students enrolled in Greek or Latin language courses.
