Cynthia White Travel and Study in Italy Award 2024
For students enrolled in a UA Classics course while participating in Study Abroad programs in Italy
Several Travel Awards of up to $1,500 are available for the following programs:
- Explore Italy: offered during Spring Break 2024. Students will be enrolled in a 1 unit CLAS 499 course using the cities of Italy as your text! Application deadline: November 15, 2023.
- Arizona in Orvieto, Italy: offered mid-May to late June, 2024. Students enrolled in a Classics course in the summer Orvieto Program are eligible to apply for an Award. Application deadline: February 5, 2024. Additional scholarship funding for Arizona in Orvieto can be found here.
Travel Award Application Instructions:
- The Travel Award application requires a 250-word statement describing what you hope to gain from the course and trip. At the top of your statement, please include 1) your name, 2) your university email address, 3) the name of the award for which you are applying ("Cynthia White Award"), and 4) the name of the study abroad program you plan to attend.
- Please email your application materials to Ms. Marcela Thompson at marcelathompson@arizona.edu, with "Cynthia White Award Application" in the subject line.
For Spring Break 2024 Explore Italy study abroad, award applications are due November 15, 2023.
For Summer 2024 Arizona in Orvieto, Italy study abroad, award applications are due February 5, 2024.
