Chris Trinacty, Professor of Classics at Oberlin College and an alumnus of the UA Classics M.A. Program, will be delivering a talk on Friday, October 24, at 12:30 pm, in Modern Languages 413. His talk, "Becoming a Detective: Reading with Seneca," is in honor of his mentor Prof. David Christensen. Lunch will be provided. 

Chris Trinacty (MA 2000; PhD 2007) is the author of Senecan Tragedy and the Reception of Augustan Poetry (Oxford University Press, 2014), two commentaries to Seneca's Natural Questions, and numerous articles on authors such as Seneca, Horace, and Pliny. He is Professor of Classics at Oberlin College and is currently working on books about Nero, Seneca, and Horace.
