I recieved my BA in History with an emphasis on the Ancient Mediterranean from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017. From there I went on to recieve a post-baccalaureate certificate in Classical Languages from the University of California, Davis in 2018. I am currently working on my Masters in Classics with an emphasis on Classical Archaeology here at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
With regard to history, my interests focus on the final years of the Roman Republic and the rise and fall of the Principate, with special attention to the clash and blending of cultures and customs in Roman provinces. My undergraduate thesis examined instances of apparent cultural change among the Thracians as a result of Roman influence and colonization.
In archaeology, my interests revolve around mortuary culture and methods of trade and industry, both of which were considered in my undergraduate thesis. In addition I have a growing interest in the food culture of ancient Italy, and the transition from the pre-Roman Italy into the Roman conquest of the peninsula.
