I recieved by BA in History with an emphasis on the Ancient Mediterranean from the University of California, Berkeley in 2017. From there I went on to recieve a post-baccalaureate certificate in Classical Languages from the University of California, Davis in 2018. I am currently working on my Masters in Classics with an emphasis on Classical Archaeology here at the University of Arizona, Tucson.
With regard to history, my interests focus on the final years of the Roman Republic and the rise and fall of the Principate, with special attention to the clash and blending of cultures and customs in Roman provinces. My undergraduate thesis examined instances of apparent cultural change among the Thracians as a result of Roman influence and colonization.
Although my archaeological training is still a work in progress, my interests in that dicipline revolve around the internment of the dead and the methods of trade and industry, both of which were considered in my undergraduate thesis. I have a number of other archaeological interests, but for the moment they are vague, and I hope for them to come into focus as my understanding grows.
