Elizabeth Weldon (B.A. Classics and Anthropology) has received a prestigious Remarkable
Women Award in Orange County, CA. Weldon's law firm, Snell & Wilmer, announced that
partner Elizabeth Weldon has been recognized as a National Association of Women
Business Owners – Orange County (NAWBO-OC) Affiliate Organization Honoree. Weldon,
who was nominated by Girls Inc. of Orange County, received the recognition at NAWBO-
OC’s 17th Annual Remarkable Women Awards on October 16.
The Remarkable Women Awards recognizes local women business owners and
entrepreneurs who have dared to step out, follow their dreams and inspire others with their
commitment to what is possible. Affiliate Organization Honorees are nominated by NAWBO-
OC Affiliates for exemplifying the theme, “Inspiration, Courage and Hope!” in their daily lives and through their service to the organizations they represent. Honorees are recognized for dedicating themselves and their talents, time and energy to making a difference in the communities they serve.
Weldon was honored for her passion and commitment to Girls Inc. of Orange County, which seeks to deliver life-changing programs that inspire all girls to be strong, smart, and bold. With a curricula focused on life skills, college readiness, and workforce development, Girls Inc. equips girls ages 4 1⁄2 to 18 to navigate gender, economic, and social barriers and grow into healthy, educated and independent adults. Weldon has been a member of the Board of Directors at Girls Inc. of Orange County since 2011.
Weldon concentrates her law practice on business litigation, franchise litigation, and intellectual property litigation. She represents franchisors in matters including breach of contract, trademark and trade name infringement, business competition torts, and franchise law claims. Additionally, Elizabeth represents both large and small businesses in intellectual property and other litigation matters, including trademark, trade dress, trade secret, copyright, patent, breach of contract, and tort claims. She graduated magna cum laude and received her B.A. in Classics and Anthropology from the University of Arizona, where she also was inducted into Phi Beta Kappa.
